The Meta-Framework
The following axioms form the operating system of the discipline. They are non-negotiable observations of reality.
-
1. Incentives Govern Behavior
Humans are incentive-following organisms. Moralizing against behavior is futile; to change the outcome, one must change the incentive structure (what is gained or lost).
-
2. Trust is the Medium
Trust is not a sentiment; it is the essential infrastructure of civilization. Knowledge cannot flow through a connection lacking trust. Without credibility, transmission fails.
-
3. Application is Vital
Knowledge without application is dead weight. Wisdom is defined strictly as knowledge in action. Theory must be continuously tested against the hard surface of reality.
-
4. Power Requires Ethics
Influence is a tool; its morality is determined by its use. Power decoupled from ethical responsibility inevitably destroys both the holder and the system.
-
5. Long-Horizon Thinking
Short-term optimization often leads to long-term ruin. The disciplined mind extends its time horizon, making decisions that compound value over decades rather than extracting value today.
